That way, when I wear sweats, I still feel cute without having to sacrifice my comfort. Also, now I don't have to change before going to sleep...

This dress is one of my favorite pieces in my closet-- it was gifted to me from a family friend for my Bat Mitzvah in a box from a fancy Parisian boutique. It's cashmere, tight-fitted, and an absolute dream to wear. In fact, most of what I'm wearing in this outfit is an expensive gift from someone close to me. The locket was my great-grandmother's, and my mom's mom wore these earrings to my parents' wedding. While this dress sometimes makes me feel self conscious--the tightness of it truly leaves nothing to the imagination--it also makes me feel worth a thousand bucks.

I have been looking for the perfect shade of fuchsia lipstick since I saw this picture of Holland Roden, and I finally decided to try combining 2 of the shades I already had. It was a bit sticky, but the color turned out perfectly!

I'd say a good 75% of my closet is composed of neutral colors, so I love having an excuse to add a pop of color. Today, this excuse was the rain. As I don't own much color, I find it's helpful to have colorful essential items so I HAVE to wear color sometimes.

My boyfriend took me on a sweet date to OMSI today during our second weekend in a row in Portland! I wore a traveling outfit-- aka something I could sleep on the bus in. It was comfortable as hell, which I thoroughly believe is one of the most important parts of fashion.

I felt like a total mess today--from my too-short skirt to my starchy sweater to my frizzy hair. But, living the hot mess lifestyle sometimes means being more of a mess on some days. This is one of my favorite necklaces--I've had it since I was 13, and when it broke, I just attached a simple necklace chain to the end to extend it. Here's to tomorrow being more hot than messy!

I did some shopping this weekend looking for a pair of yoga pants, and instead I ended up buying a couple pairs of sweat leggings. Since I had yoga immediately after class today, I thought it would be appropriate to wear my new "yoga pants" for the day.

An easy way to make your nails look like a work of art if you aren't great at the nail painting part of doing your nails. They come off fairly easily, but there are so many provided in this pack that they're easy enough to reattach. These particular nail jewels are my favorites because they're pretty neutral colors, and the shapes add an edgy feel.
