OOTD: Fade to Pink
Fall is my favorite season for fashion: it's just cold enough to layer, but not so cold that I have to cover my outfit with a giant coat. Fall is also the prime time to wear vests, and this is by far my favorite vest.
This shirt was a thrift store find. I bought it because the cut-outs along the collar and down the front are completely unique. I had to replace all the buttons and it's a little big, but that's part of thrift store shopping. It's all about repurposing and making things work.

OOTD: Lake Union
This summer, I made a Seattle bucket list full of places I wanted to see before I graduate and leave in December. I only hit a couple places over the summer, but I'm working on prioritizing going on more adventures this quarter. When my parents came to visit and asked what I wanted to do, I immediately said that I wanted to see Lake Union and the Ballard Locks. Luckily, my parents are always up for an adventure, and my mom booked us seats on a boat tour of the area. It was one of the last nice days of the year, so I relished the opportunity to wear my favorite romper for what will probably be the last time of 2016. I bought this romper a couple years ago at Last Chance. Nordstrom sends all its repaired and out-of-season returned items to Last Chance in Arizona, where the items are resold for 75-90% off. I bought every Topshop piece that I own at Last Chance, because it's the only place where I can afford one of my favorite brands.

OOTD: Pink Faux Fur
Every now and then, I buy myself an item of clothing that doesn't go well with my otherwise all-black wardrobe. Take, for instance, this pink vest. Sure, I've paired it with black from time to time, but I really prefer to wear it with similarly light colors. That's where these jeans come in. I pair them with everything in my closet that doesn't go well with black.

OOTD: Black On Black With Hair Slicked Back
As a white girl from Oregon, it only makes sense that G-Eazy is one of my favorite rappers. I guess I've been subconsciously channelling him because when my roommate saw this outfit, she immediately quoted a lyric from this his song "Been On". Obviously I had to document this outfit in its black-on-black glory. Maybe I'll make a theme of it.

OOTD: Sister Sister
Shoes: Dr. Marten's
Socks: Sock Dreams
Skirt: Similar from Mod Cloth
Flannel: Similar from Nectar
Vest: Similar from Mango
Necklace: Similar from Free People
Hat: Similar from American Eagle
A couple weeks ago, my family came to visit, and my sister got to stay with me in my room. Obviously that meant we dressed each other up and took OOTD pictures with the city as our backdrop. My sister and I have completely opposite senses of style, but she still managed to find a couple things in my closet she wanted to borrow for the day. It was also a complete honor to get to photograph the photographer for once!

A Study in Blue
I've frequently said that blue is the only color in my closet, a statement which is supported by this particular outfit. I'm totally fine with the matchy-matchiness of what I'm wearing because it supports the craziness of each individual piece. I'm so all about this sliver of tummy showing between a crop top and a high waisted skirt.

Falling for Fall
Shoes: Similar from GoJane
Socks: Similar from Kensie
Dress: Jach's Girlfriend
Vest: Similar from OASAP
Belt: Similar from ASOS
Necklace: Similar from Lulu's
Earrings: Similar from Nasty Gal
I've started to pack for school, so I'm wearing all my favorite things before I have to put them in boxes. I'm aware that I should probably wear the things I'll be leaving behind, but it's so much more fun to wear my favorite things and see what all I have in my closet.

All Dressed Up
Vest: Trouve, similar from Miss Guided
By far one of my greatest consignment store finds of all time is this Zara dress that I got for $17. Sure, it was more than I usually spend on consignment clothing, but it was an absolute steal for such a beautiful piece from an amazing brand. I'm always hesitant to wear it because I want to do it the justice it deserves.

Stepping Up
Shorts: Levi's, similar from GoJane
Shirt: Similar from Nasty Gal
Vest: Rue21, similar from JCPenney
Necklace: Similar from Forever 21
I remember being nine-years-old and promising my mother that I would never wear a shirt that exposed my navel. On Monday, I went to dinner with my mom wearing a shirt that exposed my navel. I'm sure nine-year-old me would be disgusted, but nineteen-year-old me is rather pleased with this outfit. The double black makes it just a tad classier, and the vest sets it apart from just another short/tank top combo.

Simple Yet Stylish
Dress: Similar from GoJane
Vest: American Eagle Outfitters, similar from Love Culture
Necklace: Similar from Need Supply Co.
Earrings: Similar from Nasty Gal
This is my new favorite dress-- it's comfortable as well as really cute. It reminds me of something Kylie Jenner would wear, and it definitely makes me feel glam as hell when I wear it. The easy color and shape makes it easy to wear with anything. It's so important to have a stylish, comfortable, and easy-to-wear dress in your wardrobe; or, in my case, several dresses.
